Troubleshooting

How to diagnose a problem in AI Product Tools, and where to find the fix for it.

Something going wrong usually falls into one of a few shapes. Start here, then follow the link for the exact messages and fixes.

Diagnose in three steps

1. Read the message, in full

Every AI-calling feature in the plugin (the six bulk generators, the Product Editor, the product metabox, Content Templates, Automation Jobs, and the AI Shop Assistant) shares the same error vocabulary. If a message names a provider ("OpenAI rejected...", "Gemini is overloaded...") or talks about a key, a model, a rate limit, or a connection, it is a provider problem, go to Provider errors and find the exact sentence.

2. If nothing failed but the result looks wrong

An empty product list, a skipped row, a structure-mismatch banner, a duplicate-content or unsupported-number warning, or unexpected HTML are not failures, they are the plugin's own selection and quality checks doing their job. See Generation issues.

3. If it is a scheduled job, the chatbot, or something that runs unattended

A paused Automation Job, a Catalog watch sweep that never seems to run, or a chatbot that will not respond each have their own page: Background jobs for anything that runs on a schedule, Shop assistant issues for the storefront chat widget.

Before you open a support ticket

  • Note the exact message text, it is designed to be specific, and matching it to the tables on these pages solves most issues without waiting on a reply.
  • Check Frequently asked questions first; plan limits, data handling, multisite, translations, and uninstall behavior are answered there.
  • If you do need to contact support, Support lists exactly what to include so the first reply can actually help.
