Bulk Taxonomy Generator

Generate category, tag, and taxonomy descriptions with a review-first workflow.

The Bulk Taxonomy Generator creates AI-written descriptions for WooCommerce product categories, product tags, and other supported taxonomies. It is useful for category SEO, collection landing pages, and clearer store navigation.

Open it from AI Product Tools > Bulk Taxonomy Generator.

What it works with

The generator discovers taxonomies that are available through WordPress REST (show_in_rest). Common targets include product categories and product tags. Premium extensions can add extra sources and purpose controls depending on plan.

What it can generate

  • SEO-focused taxonomy descriptions
  • Marketing overview descriptions
  • Technical summaries
  • Brand-story style descriptions
  • Custom purpose output, depending on plan

Generated content is returned for review before you apply it.

Basic workflow

  1. Open Bulk Taxonomy Generator.
  2. Choose a taxonomy such as product categories or product tags.
  3. Select the terms you want to update.
  4. Choose purpose, tone, language, length, provider, and model.
  5. Generate drafts.
  6. Review each term's result.
  7. Edit any description before applying.
  8. Apply approved content.
  9. Check the taxonomy archive/category page on the frontend.

Product context

The generator uses term metadata plus sampled product context such as product names, descriptions, price range, and attributes when available. Better product data creates more accurate category descriptions.

Premium controls

Depending on plan, premium controls can include additional context sources, custom purposes, extra prompts, and adjustable sample limits.

Best practices

  • Start with high-traffic categories first.
  • Keep category descriptions factual and avoid unsupported claims.
  • Use SEO-focused purpose for search landing pages.
  • Use marketing overview for collection pages that need a sales-oriented intro.
  • Review parent/child categories so descriptions do not repeat the same text.
  • Apply a few terms first and check your theme layout.

Troubleshooting

A taxonomy is missing

The taxonomy may not be exposed through REST. Confirm the taxonomy is registered with show_in_rest or use a supported WooCommerce taxonomy.

Output is too generic

  • Add better product descriptions and attributes to products in that term.
  • Choose a more specific purpose.
  • Add additional instructions if your plan supports them.

Description does not show on the frontend

  • Confirm your theme displays taxonomy descriptions.
  • Check whether the description was applied to the right term.
  • Clear cache.
