Example Descriptions
Use Example Mode to make the AI mimic your ideal product description style exactly.
Example Mode is a powerful Pro feature that allows you to provide the AI with a "perfect" description to use as a template. Instead of following general prompts, the AI will analyze your example and replicate its tone, structure, and formatting for all other products.
What is Example Mode?
When Example Mode is active, the AI bypasses most of your other settings (like length, style, and custom prompts). It focuses entirely on mimicking the example you provided. This is the best way to ensure 100% consistency across your entire store.
Accessing Example Descriptions
- Go to AI Product Tools > Settings.
- Click on the Example Descriptions tab.
Example Mode is a Pro feature. You must have an active Pro plan to access this tab and use this functionality.
How to Configure Example Mode
There are two main fields you can fill out:
Example Short Description
Enter your ideal short product description here. This should be a concise summary that highlights the most important features.
Example Full Description
Enter your ideal full product description here. This field supports HTML, so you can include formatting like bold text, lists, and headings.
How to Write Good Examples
To get the best results from Example Mode, follow these guidelines:
- Use a Real Product: Write the example based on one of your actual products. This helps the AI understand how to map product data to your template.
- Include Formatting: If you want your descriptions to have bullet points or specific headings, include them in your example using HTML.
- Set the Tone: Use the exact vocabulary and "voice" you want for your brand.
- Be Specific: The AI will replicate the pattern. If your example has three paragraphs, the generated descriptions will likely have three paragraphs too.
When to Use Example Mode
Use Example Mode when:
- You want every product description to follow an exact, rigid template.
- You have a very specific brand voice that general prompts can't quite capture.
- You want to ensure specific HTML formatting is used every time.
Don't use Example Mode when:
- You want varied and creative descriptions for different types of products.
- You want the AI to adjust the length or style based on the product type.
- You prefer the flexibility of custom prompts and variables.
Example Mode is powerful but rigid. If you find the output is too repetitive, consider switching back to custom prompts and using Custom Variables instead.
Activating Example Mode
Once you have entered your examples, look for the Enable Example Mode toggle. When turned on, all future generations (Bulk, Single, and Automation) will use your examples as the primary template.
What's Next?
Now that you've configured your settings, you can start using the Bulk Description Generator to update your store.
